UK Defence staff pays a working visit to Georgia, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Defense.
Within two day visit, members of the delegation led by Deputy Head of Bilateral Relations NATO and EU Debbie Brothers held meetings with Deputy Defence Ministers Tamar Karosanidze and Mikheil Darchiashvili. At the meetings Deputy Defence Ministers informed the British guests on the fulfilled and ongoing reforms in Georgian defence sphere. The sides also referred to the future cooperation prospects. First Deputy Chief of general Staff of the GAF, Brigadier General Vladimer Chachibaia hosted the UK Defence staff as well. The sides talked about regional security issues and cooperation plans in military educational field. Following the meetings at the MoD, Defence Cooperation Plan of 2015-2016 was signed between the Defence Ministries of Georgia and the UK.
