On October 22 the Lord Mayor of friendly city Bristol Alistais Watson will visit Tbilisi together with delegation. In the delegation there are representatives of transport, tourism and environment spheres and also business representatives, reports GHN.
About the detail of planned visit talked the Mayor of Tbilisi Davit Narmania and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Mary Holl Holl.
As the ambassador of Great Britain said on the meeting with the Mayor of Tbilisi sides will discuss the possibilities of collaboration in the spheres of economics and business sector, also in the issues of protection of environment and waste management. There are planned meetings with the heads of Tbilisi Development Fund, services of architecture, transport of the city and also with business circles.
It must be marked that the city Bristol was named as green capital of Europe in 2015. In the meeting there will be discussed the issues of planning, transport and infrastructure of the city. The Mayor of Bristol is an architect and as it is known to me the Mayor of Tbilisi is especially interested in planning of the city," stated ambassador.
As she also said the visit of the delegation of Bristol is good opportunity for the embassy of Britain to respond to the meeting with diplomatic corps and donor organizations on October 2.
As the Mayor of Tbilisi Davit Narmania said the visit of the Mayor of Bristol is confirmation of deepening relations between two friendly cities. "The delegation of Bristol will share experience about planning of the city, greenery and recreational zone. Last year Bristol received the status of green city of Europe. It is important for us to share their theoretical and practical experience," stated Davit Narmania.
The Mayor of Tbilisi invited Lord Mayor of Bristol on Tbilisoba.
Tbilisi and Bristol are friendly towns from 1988.
