Ukrainian law enforcement agencies have detained 26 Russian citizens involved in the terrorist activities of militants in Donbas, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
An advisor to the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) chief, Markiyan Lubkivsky, said this at a briefing on Friday.
"If we talk about the number of Russian citizens detained by Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, this figure is 26 people," Lubkivsky said.
However, he said, these people can avoid punishment if exchanged for Ukrainian hostages.
In addition, Lubkivsky said that SBU had opened almost 1,500 criminal cases against Ukrainian citizens following an investigation into the events in Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
