On October 6 at 11:00 in the National Center of Cinematography of Georgia there will be held press conference concerning the participation of films of Georgian women film makers on Busan 19th International Film Festival, reports GHN.
The Press conference will be attended by the director of film center Nana Djanelidze, the representative of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection Nana Dolidze and film maker Lana Gogoberidze.
On the 19th International Film Festival of Busan on October 2-11 in the special program "Focus" there will be represented "The Power of Georgian Film Maker Women" - 12 different films of woman film makers - from the first Georgian film director Nutsa Gogoberidze till the representatives of the generation of "New Georgia Wave". The special program will be dedicated to Georgia and Georgian woman film directors.
It is first time when Georgian films are represented in Busan festival.
The special program includes 12 films, among them there is film of first Georgian film maker Nutsa Gogoberidze made in 1930 "The History of Mountainous Racha." Nutsa Gogoberidze is not only the first Georgian film director she also stands in the foundation of three generations of women film makers. The films of the daughter of Nutsa Gogoberidze Lana Gogoberidze "Day is Longer than Night" was represented on Cannes International Film Festival; her grandchild Salome Aleksi-Meskhshvili is producer and film director. The spectator of Busan films festival will have possibility to see films of three generation of Georgian family and also films of other woman film makers. "The Power of Georgian Film Makers" is remarkable not only because that it represents films of Georgian women but also because of the fact that it is possibility to see in 12 films that shows social problems of Georgia, discrimination and conflict. There will be represented new cinematographic esthetics of Georgia in spite of the gender.

• "The car, which makes everything disappear" (TInatin Gurchiani)
• "lullaby" (Nana Djanelidze)
The Busan festival will be attended by the director of National Film Center of Georgia Nana Djanelidze, the head of the Department of Export and Distribution Davit Vashadze, film makers: Lana Gogoberidze, Tina Gurchiani, Nana Ekvtimishvili.
In the section World Cinema there will be represented the film of Giorgi Ovashvili "The Island of Corn".
The Project of Nana Ekvtimishvili "My Happy Family" will take part on Asian market of projects - Asia Project Market.
On the gala premiere there will be represented the film of Mohsen Mohmanbaf "The President", the Georgian-French-German co production. The Asian premiere of the film will be attended by the main actor Misha Gomiashvili.
