October 8 new head of representation of European Union to Georgia Janos Herman presented his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Maia Panjikidze, reports GHN.
On the meeting held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the Minister and new ambassador of European Union to Georgia discussed the priority issues of collaboration between Georgia and European Union, the process of the implementation of Association Agreement and the preparing works of Riga Summit 2015.
"The relations between European Union and Georgia continue successfully, it is confirmed by the assignment of Association Agreement which is important event not only for Georgia but also for international society. We talked with the Minister how my activity can be carried out in Georgia. Georgia is close country for me and I am glad that I am here," stated Janos Herman after the meeting.
The Minister wished Janos Herman success in future activity.
Janos Herman was appointed on the position of the head on delegation of European Union in the foreign affairs and security issues by the High Representative Catherine Ashton on June 26.
Janos Herman is Hungarian diplomat with big experience in diplomacy.
