The Ukrainian authorities are developing proposals to restore control over the border with Russia and ensure its international monitoring.
U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland said this at a meeting with the leadership of the Ukrainian State Border Service, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
"As far as we understand, after our meeting here yesterday the Ukrainian side is now developing very specific proposals for international monitoring, for restoring the sovereignty of the international border, which it will present to the Russian Federation and the international community. Then we will be able to support them," Nuland said.
