After opening of National Food Agency office with modern and latest technologies Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili visited the building being under construction of national Agency of wine. Head of Government introduced with the new building concept, reports GHN based on press service of the Prime Minister.
The minister of Agriculture explained to the Prime Minister, that the building where the wine national agency will be arranged is the ancient wine cellar and it was constructed in 1962 during the world congress of wine held in Georgia. There are enothec with 25,000 bottles of wine of various types, including the oldest one is 107 years old. After reconstruction, it is planned to arrange museum space on the basement floor. The reconstruction will be conducted for the enothec, where the unique varieties of Georgian wines are kept as well. On the ground floor, the working space for staff will be arranged. There will be the professional development center for tasters, big and small conference halls, cellar, testing hall and wine laboratory will be arranged as well, fully meeting the modern standards. On the second floor, the wine education center with a computer class, cabinets and library will be located.
