Terrorists have shelled the positions of Ukrainian security forces 35 times over the past day.
The ATO press center wrote about this on Facebook Friday.
"The situation in the area of holding the antiterrorist operation remains difficult. Over the previous day, uncontrolled armed groups shelled the ATO positions 35 times," a statement reads.
The highest shelling was concentrated on a network of roadblocks, base and observation posts, located near Debaltseve and Shchastia. Militants mainly use mortars and small arms.
In addition, the ATO press center notes, previously in the morning, there was an attempt to storm the Donetsk airport. "The attack was repelled, the strategic object is under our control," a statement reads.
It is also emphasized that the situation in the area of Mariupol is stable.
"The National Guard of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, other law enforcement subunits hold operational procedures, aimed at destruction of sabotage-intelligence groups," the ATO press center added.
