Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk on Friday met with the speakers of the parliaments of Denmark, Ireland, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
At the meetings they called on representatives of foreign states to strengthen support for Ukraine, in particular, in conducting reforms and expanding economic and military cooperation.
"The head of state thanked the heads of the parliaments of these European countries for supporting Ukraine and stressed the importance of European solidarity to ensure the stability of the peace process in Ukraine. He also urged them to strengthen support for Ukraine on its path to reform and expand mutually beneficial economic and military-technical cooperation," the presidential press office reported.
"The Ukrainian prime minister stressed the importance of the EU countries' supporting Ukraine in achieving peace and stability," the government's press service reported
