In the article published by Turkish edition ‘Zaman" there is described the opening of Faravani hydro electric plant built with the investment of Turkish "Anadolu Group" and issues concerning to the subject: there is marked that in the event there participated the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli garibashvili, Vice-Premier Kakha Kaladze, the Minister of Energy of Turkey Taner Ildizi and the representatives of the company. The publication pays attention to the speeches of the Prime Minister of Georgia and Minister of Energy, who underlined the role of Faravani plant for economic relations of neighbor countries, especially in the sphere of investment and trade because the electro energy will be the trade object of Turkey and Georgia. "During last few decades there was no built the electric station with 87 megawatt power. There is 200 million dollar investment is the project," stated Irakli Garibashvili.
As the Minister of Energy of Turkey said the relations in the sphere of investments in the relations between two countries reached one billion and half dollars.
"Baku-Tbilisi-Jeihan pipeline, Baku-Tbilisi-Arzrumi gas pipeline, Baku-TbilisiKarsi railway serves for the strengthening of friendship between two countries and now we have Faravanhishes plant, underlined Turkish Minister.
The energy of Faravani plant will be used by Georgia during none months and during three months by Turkey.
