The number of observers of the OSCE special monitoring mission in Donbas has been increased to 1,500, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this in his address on the implementation of his peace plan and the strengthening of the defense of the state.
"I filed a request and received a positive response that the number of OSCE observers had been increased to 1,500 people. Such a number will allow this respected European organization to fulfill its obligations on observing the ceasefire and resuming Ukrainian control over the border with Russia," he said.
