The Government of Georgia is ready to support
involvement of Georgian Diaspora in the government reconstruction process, -
Prime-Minister of Georgia stated at the Diaspora Economic Forum, reports GHN
based on Press Service of the Prime Minister.
The Prime-Minister emphasized the role of Diaspora and noted that it is
important to maximize the use of its potential.
The head of the government is confident that Economic Forum will contribute the
representatives of Diaspora to be involved in the processes taking place in
State and this will give them an opportunity to contact the Government and
business representatives directly.
"Our Government is ready
to support Georgian Diaspora representatives, in order to develop
entrepreneurship in own country. We will take care to create all the conditions
for attracting as more Diaspora investment as possible" -the
Prime-Minister stated.
Irakli Garibashvili noted with
satisfaction, that Georgia is the first country which became a member the
International Diaspora Engagement Alliance.
The Prime Minister believes that a membership of the alliance founded by
Hillary Clinton will significantly increase the popularity of Georgian Diaspora
in the USA and other countries.
The head of the Government
welcomes the creation of lobbying groups in Georgian Diaspora and hopes that
compatriots living abroad with their great potential and activities will
support popularization of Georgia around the world, will contribute the
country's development and progress.
With the Prime Minister the
Economic Forum of Diaspora was attended by the members of the Cabinet of
Ministers and the representatives of Diplomatic Corps.
