The National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting is planning to ban in court the programs of six more Russian television channels in Ukraine, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
The council's deputy chairman, Hryhoriy Shverk, said this at a briefing on Wednesday.
"Three cases against six Russian channels are currently being heard in the courts, with one case involving four channels and two others each involving one channel," he said.
In particular, he noted, the cases concern a ban on the broadcasting in Ukraine of six Russian channels because of their non-compliance with Ukrainian legislation and the European Convention on Transfrontier Television.
As reported, the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting is planning to ban the broadcasting in Ukraine of one Russian television channel 365 days and one Belarusian television channel Belarus 24.
