U.S. President Barack Obama on Wednesday discussed with the leaders of Britain, Italy, Germany and France the situation in Ukraine and sanctions against Russia due to its aggression in the region, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
The White House said this in a statement following a video conference held between the world leaders on Wednesday.
"The leaders discussed the need for Russia to fulfill all of its obligations under the Minsk agreements," reads the document.
The report also notes that the sides discussed efforts to work alongside international financial institutions to support Ukraine's economy.
The leaders of the five countries also paid special attention to the need to make additional efforts to fight the spread of the dangerous Ebola virus, as well as cooperation within the coalition against Islamists in Iraq and Syria.
