Within the framework of his working visit in Lithuania, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia met with Linas Linkevicius, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Economics and Sustainable Development.
After the special official receiving ceremony in honor of Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, the sides proceeded to the negotiation hall where the issues relating to the implementation of the Association Agreement were discussed. The sides also discussed the issues regarding the deepening of co-operation between the countries in the field of transport, tourism and agriculture.
As Linas Linkevicius stated, energy safety is priority for the Baltic States. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania thanked Georgia for the co-operation in the field of international energy. Georgia is the first NATO non-member state that is partner-contributor state by joining NATO energy safety center.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania positively assessed the conducted reforms by Georgia in terms of European integration and stressed the fact that Georgia is bound to become full-fledged member of NATO.
