Russian President Dmitry Medvedev continues his official visit to the United States of America.
Medvedev talked about the Georgian-Russian relations and latest standoff when delivering a speech at Stanford University on June 23. He said the relations would warmer only in case of change of the Georgian authorities.
The Russian President also reiterated the Russian version on recognition of Georgia's separatist regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia as independent state, stressing that "Russia protected interests of its citizens."
According to Radio Free Europe, Radio Liberty, (RFE/RL), Medvedev has arrived in the United States for a visit aimed primarily at wooing U.S. investors he hopes will help launch Russia's technology sector into the 21st century.
