In the article of "Commersant" is discussed the politics of the government of Georgia concerning agreement project between Russia and Abkhazia: there is marked that on December 20 Tbilisi will publish action plan (authors - Giorgi Dvali, Elena Chernenko) against the plans of Moscow-Sukhumi, reports GHN.
"For the discussion of the agreement project of Russia-Abkhazia that was published in Abkhazian media government of Georgia called the meeting of the Council for Security and Crisis Management. It is interesting that ambassadors from leading countries were invited on the meeting. The decision of the meeting was announced by Irakli Alasania: "we begin to make aggressive steps on international arena," he stated and added that the list of events will be announced October 20. Maia Panjikidze stated that the issue of the agreement between Russia-Abkhazia Tbilisi will take on the meeting of ministers of foreign affairs of European Union. Alex Patriashvili is against to continue meetings of Russia-Georgia in the format of "Abashidze-Karasin." As the special representative of the Prime Minister Zurab Abashidze said cancelling contacts with Russia will not be good for Georgia.
Moscow calls on Georgia not to interfere in relations of Russia-Abkhazia: "Abkhazia has right to have own foreign policy to sign the agreement with whom it want to, - stated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia and stated that the west have to respect sovereign rights of Abkhazia: "they always talk about respect of sovereignty." The representative of the Ministry Aleksandre Lukashevich expressed hope that "the agreement project of Moscow-Sukhumi doesn't contain danger for normalization of relations between Georgia and Russia."
Besides Georgian experts presume that tensions between Russia and Georgia were provoked by Abkhazian politicians because they are not interested in deep integration with Moscow: "with the publishing of the text of the agreement they played well and provoked controversy between Russia and Georgia, - says expert of GHN David Avalishvili, - they knew very well what kind of reaction it would have in Tbilisi and wanted to create problems to Moscow."
However in Sukhumi the situation is perceived in a different way:
"We have democratic state and of course the project of the agreement was perceived by the society in a different way, - stated while talking with "Commersant" former Premier Sergei Shamba, - there is stage now when relations between Abkhazia and Russia have to come into different level. The project of the agreement needs correcting but this document contains positive points for Abkhazia. As for the reaction of Georgian side relations with Russia is going on without Georgia and in this case we will act according to own interests."
