Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili met the delegation of global consulting and investment company DEMETER-AWE Holdings. The parties discussed the cooperation issues in the field of agriculture and the results of the research done in the field of Georgian agriculture by DEMETER-AWE Holdings. The experts of the company developed the mentioned research on the basis of study of the current situation in the regions of Georgia, reports GHN based on press center of the Prime Minister.
The head of the government of Georgia informed the guests about the reforms made in the field of agriculture. According to him the main field in this sector is viticulture as Georgia has the wine history of 8000 years and has more than 500 endemic species of grapes.
"Georgia has the greatest potential in agriculture development, including in terms of climate. Development of agriculture is the most important for economics of Georgia" - the Prime Minister stated at the meeting and emphasized that in this regard the experience of Israel is of the greatest value for Georgia. "We are glad that we have the opportunity to use the potential as much as possible which is in the direction of strengthening cooperation between our countries," - the head of the government noted.
Irakli Garibashvili thanked the guests for attending the anniversary of Georgian-Jewish friendship.
The meeting in the government administration was attended by the economic minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, agriculture minister Otar Danelia and head of the economic council Roman Tchkhenkeli.
