In NATO headquarters there was discussed implementation plan of essential package. On the meeting 28+1 the deputy Minister Defense Mikheil Darichiashvili informed about details of allies plan. The document was created by the Ministry of Defense together with NATO international service, reports GHN.
NATO liked the plan worked out by Georgian side and expressed readiness to maximally be involved in timely and effective implementation of essential package. On the meeting there was marked that fulfilling of the elements determined by the plan will accelerate the process of joining Georgia in NATO, will increase the security of Georgia and will strengthen interoperability with alliance.
On the meeting there was also discussed the issues of regional security. The special attention was paid to the agreement project of "integration and collaboration" between Russia and Abkhazia. Georgian side informed about existing situation and called on NATO to react on.
In the frame of the visit the delegation of the Ministry of Defense also held meetings with representatives of member countries of alliance, international service and international military service.
