There has been no confirmation from Gazprom yet Belarus has settled its gas debt.
Prime-Tass quotes Gazprom spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov as saying the gas giant has not yet received the transfer from Belarus.
Earlier, Belarussia's First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko said that Belarus had paid the 187-million dollar bill to Gazprom for the previously supplied gas.
"In a gesture of good will 187 million dollars of borrowed funds were transferred to Gazprom in settlement of the debt," Semashko said.
