The Georgian Foreign Minister, Ms Maia Panjikidze met the President of the Eastern Europe Business Association of Germany, Mr Marcus Felsner, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Discussions centred on the issues regarding co-operation with Georgia. According to Mr Felsner, the Association is focused on enhancing Georgia's interest in German business. "The Eastern Europe Association as one of the largest organization of German business takes a close interest in developing co-operation with Georgia. We are ready to acquaint the German business community with the opportunities in Georgian agriculture, food industry and other areas".
The Georgian Foreign Minister briefed the representatives of the Association on the opportunities of Georgian business and industry as well as on the investment potential of Georgia following the signature of the free trade area agreement with the European Union.
During the Minister's meetings with German officials, it was emphasized that the German Government is interested in organizing a visit of German business delegation to Georgia. The German Minister of Economic Co-operation also plans to arrive in Georgia.
