Only 190,000 of the 400,000 internally displaced persons in Ukraine will take part in early parliamentary elections, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
Deputy Director General of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine Natalia Lynnyk said this at a press conference.
"It is regrettable that only 190,000 people have changed their polling place. Moreover, 20,000 of them are those who changed their place of voting in the eastern regions. With the general figure of 400,000 persons displaced from the east and the south, this figure seems low. We emphasize that the state had to increase public awareness campaign to ensure that these people could also participate in voting in other regions," Lynnyk said.
