Within trilateral cooperation of Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan joint military trainings and command and field exercises will be conducted, - it was noted at the meeting between the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili and the chief of the general headquarter, army General Necdet Ozel.
The parties discussed the relations of the two countries and deepening cooperation, reports GHN based on the press service of the Prime Minister.
As the head of the government of Georgia noted there is a wide-ranging cooperation plan between Georgia and Turkey and intensive cooperation in different directions.
"we have said a number of times and what's the most important we have proved with our actions that Turkey is not only the neighbor of Georgia but it is a friend and a strategic partner," - Irakli Garibashvili stated at the meeting. The prime minister expressed his hope regarding the support of Turkey in terms of implementation of the essential package of NATO-Georgia and emphasized the contribution of Turkey in development of Georgian armed forces. Deepening cooperation in education sector was mentioned. The parties discussed the issues of regional cooperation. The Prime Minister of Georgia thanked the chief of Turkish armed forces for supporting Georgia on the way to membership of the alliance.
