The Georgian Foreign Ministry wishes to express its deep concern over the attack at the Canadian Parliament on the 22nd of October killing a soldier standing guard at the National Memorial, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This tragedy as well as the recent assault on Canadian soldiers in Quebec, on the 20th of October, which is linked to a terrorist organization, provides yet another proof of the seriousness of the threats posed by radical ideologies and the importance of the international community's consolidated efforts to successfully fight against one of such global problems as terrorism.
The Georgian Foreign Ministry wishes to express its solidarity with the Canadian Government and the Canadian people.
