Russian troops are not withdrawn from the east of Ukraine, the situation in Crimea looks like a frozen conflict, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
Prime Minister of Finland Alexander Stubb said on his arrival at the EU summit in Brussels.
"I do not think that the debate on Ukraine will be very long. The situation has not improved. On the situation in Crimea, we all understand and know that it looks like a frozen conflict. In addition to this, if we look at the ceasefire agreement, we see that there is no withdrawal of Russian troops from the east of Ukraine and Ukrainians have no control over borders. We consider that elections in Ukraine are very important, we will continue to proceed from this," Stubb said.
To remind, in Minsk on September 5, participants of the tripartite group to resolve the situation in Donbas signed a protocol on ceasefire. September 19, a memorandum was signed of protocol implementation of September 5, according to which the OSCE representatives monitor the Ukrainian-Russian border in Donbas. However, the truce is violated systematically.
