The Central Election Commission (CEC) refuted reports that its electronic system "Elections" was brought down by a hacker attack, according to the statement published on the CEC website on Saturday, reports GHN based on RT.
Earlier an announcement appeared on the Prosecutor General's official webpage that votes in the Sunday parliamentary election would be counted manually due to a breakdown in the electronic system. The Prosecutor General Vitaly Yarema's deputy said that the message was false and the website had not been tampered with. The elections to the Verkhovnaya Rada will take place on Sunday as Ukrainians vote for the parliament's 424 members.
