Ninety-six percent of polling stations have opened in Donetsk region, the press service of the Donetsk Regional State Administration has reported, citing figures from the executive councils of city councils and district state administrations as of 10.00.
"As many as 1,047 polling stations have opened in Donetsk region, or 96% of the number that was to open (1,097)," reads the statement.
The remaining 4% have not opened as of the morning for various reasons, including due to the fact that members of precinct commissions could not gather. The most difficult situation with the opening of polling stations was reported in the Maryinka and Volnovakha districts - about 60% of election commissions have opened there.
Media reports said that people were not voting in Avdiyivka and the similar situation was recorded at district election commission No. 45.
