Georgia has special progress in export, considers the Prime Minister of the country. With the information of Irakli Garibashvili in 2012-2014 years export from Georgia grew by 24 %, among them in comparison to 2012 export with European Union grew by 70%, with Russia by 53%.
"During 2 years export of vegetables grew by 53%, fruit 91%, mineral waters 159%, wine 221% and citrus 104$.
These numbers are really impressive however we have many things more to do to develop economics and to create new working places. The first political decision that took the government in this direction is to free business from government pressure. Before we came into politics the political pressure was the main reason that created problem in economics. Today the attitude is completely changed. The state created the space and conditions where private sector can develop in a right way and in long term. During 2 years there were registered more than 46 thousand business companies. With this attitude in next two years should be created new working places. During two years the number of taxpayers with more than 3 million lari turnover increased by 418, and their total income grew by 4 billion lari. This figure is due to the recovery of the economy, the establishment of a free and competitive environment, creating new companies, that means that in private sector there is mobilized income," stated Irakli Garibashvili.
