The Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Alasania participates in international conference about global security issues in France. The conference is held 31th times this year and is hosted by the Minister of Defense of France Jean-Yves Le Drain. The organizers of the conference are Research Institute of National Defense of France (IHEDN) and Strategic Research Center (CSDR), reports GHN.
The main themes of forum are new challenges created a result of Russian aggression in Crimea and issues of cyber security.
Irakli Alasania will deliver speech on the conference. The theme of panel, where participates the Minister of Defense of Georgia, is connected to the crisis of Crimea and Eastern Ukraine and also factor of Russia. Irakli Alasania will talk about "Protection of Europe from Russian Shady Enterprise". While delivering speech the Minister of Defense will discuss changeable space of defense and threats that are created as a result of Russian aggression, also experience after 2008 war of Russia-Georgia. There will be underlined security challenges that face Georgia.
On the conference participate the Ministers of Defense of NATO and partner countries, leaders of the government, military officials, experts in security and defense, representatives of academic circles and industrial area.
In the frame of the visit Irakli Alasania will held meeting with the Minister of Defense of France Jean-Yves Le Drain. There are also planned bilateral meetings.
