One of the most famous sculptures - Statue of Liberty which is standing in New York on the Island of Freedom is 128 years old.
The sculpture was opened on October 29, 1886. In the opening ceremony took part the President of USA at that time Grevor Cleveland.
The monument was gifted to USA by French people. The author of the sculpture is Frederick Bartold. The height of the sculpture is 92 meters.
The sculpture was brought to New York as 350 fragments by the ship. The weight of the sculpture is 225 tons. There were used 125 tones of metal and 30 tons of copper.
