Between Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Turkey are held political consultations. As GHN was informed from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the head of the Georgian delegation was Deputy Undersecretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs David Djalagania and head of Turkish delegation deputy undersecretary of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Ali Cemal Aidin, reports GHN.
In the frame of political consultations the Turkish delegation was hosted by the first deputy Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaniani.
On the meeting there was marked with satisfaction that between two countries close political cooperation and dynamics of interchange of high level and specialized agencies is active. The Turkish side one more time expressed support towards territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country, also in the issue of integration of Georgia in NATO.
The special attention was paid to perspectives of trade-economic collaboration between Georgia and Turkey. There was underlined importance of interaction in spheres of transport, energy and customs, among them implementation of joint projects. The sides underlined importance of Baku-Tbilisi-Karsi railway that will deepen collaboration between two countries. There especially was underlined support towards implementation of transportation of Caspian Sea energy resources and implementation of projects "TANAP" and "TAP".
In the context of collaboration in customs sphere the sides underlined importance of smooth functioning of land border crossing points between two countries.
While consultations the sides talked about perspective of deepening of collaboration in the frame of international organizations.
The sides also exchanged opinions about international problematic that is standing in agenda right now.
