On 27-31 October 2014, the Counsellor of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry, Mr Mantas Jakimavičius is on his visit to Georgia to support the country in the process of implementation of the Action Plan of the visa regime liberalization with the European Union, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mr Jakimavičius' visit is of particular importance in terms of taking further measures in the aforesaid process; preparation of the EU expert missions; and accepting recommendations.
On the 27th of October, the Lithuanian expert met the Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister, Ms Tamar Beruchashvili, who provided him with the information on the current situation in the process of the VLAP implementation and on the Georgian Government's expectations.
In the frames of the visit, Mr Jakimavičius will meet the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs; the Ministry of Justice; Public Service Development Agency; Personal Data Protection Inspector's Office; and the Ombudsman's office.
