On the 27th of October 2014 the Georgian Foreign Minister, Ms Maia Panjikidze took part in the Youth Ambassadorial organized by the Club of Young Diplomats of Georgia, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Maia Panjikidze addressed participants of the meeting focusing on Georgia's foreign policy priorities, on successes that the country has achieved along the European and Euro-Atlantic Integration path, emphasizing, in particular, the importance of the signature of the Association Agreement as well as of the Substantial Package granted to Georgia at the Wales NATO Summit. The Minister welcomed the desire of young diplomats to actively engage in the country's public and political life and to receive more information regarding the Government's activities and plans of action. According to the Minister, such meetings will contribute to the professional development of young diplomats. "Ambassadorial meeting is a good initiative. It provides a great impetus for young diplomats to acquire the ABC of diplomacy. They do what real diplomats do through role-play."
Youth Ambassadorial was conducted for the first time in Georgia through cooperation with various state agencies, governmental and non-governmental organizations. The project represents a youth forum regarding Georgia's foreign policy.
