On the 28th of October 2014, Georgian books were donated to the library of the Comenius University in Bratislava, the Slovak Republic, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The event was attended by students and the University's academic staff. The Georgian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary made a brief survey of each book donated to the library.
A Georgian section was set up at the Comenius University as part of the project launched by the Georgian Foreign Ministry, which has been designed to promote Georgian literature and to open Georgian sections at various libraries throughout the world, which already include the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), the foreign literature section of the Jung Hee university, the Anyang Seouksu Library (Republic of Korea), the Dominican Institute For Oriental Studies (Egypt), the Linz Municipal Library (Republic of Austria), the National Library of Switzerland, Manila University (Philippines). A Georgian news centre was put into operation at the Academic Library of the Latvian University.
