The Labour Party has assessed the dismantling of the Stalin monument from the centre of Gori as vandalism. Kakha Dzagania of the party said at the briefing today that the monument of Stalin was the history of Georgia and its heritage. He said the government removed the monument stealthily, at night.
`The separator of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili made his dream come true last night and removed the monument of Stalin, who won the WW2 and defeated fascism. This is vandalism unheard before. Saakashvili`s government has moved on the regime of Taliban,` Dzagania said and objected to the pressure on media. He said the reporters were prevented to shoot the video of the process of dismantling. The opposition party calls upon the government to investigate the facts of violence against the journalists last night.
