Deputy Minister of Defence of Georgia Mikheil Darchiashvili hosted the ambassadors and military attachés of NATO member countries at the Ministry of Defence of Georgia today, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Defense.
Mikheil Darchiashvili briefed the diplomats on the results of NATO Summit in Wales and elements of implementation concept of NATO-Georgia Substantial Package developed in cooperation with the NATO International Staff (IS). The allies discussed the document at the NATO-Georgia Commission meeting in Brussels, on October 20.
The ambassadors and military attachés of NATO member countries uttered their support to the Defence Ministry for timely and effective implementation of NATO-Georgia Substantial Package.
Recent developments related to the arrest of five employees of MoD were also discussed at the meeting. Deputy Minister informed the diplomats about the details of the case. According to Mikheil Darchiashvili, Defence Ministry called for declassification of the materials and expressed readiness to cooperate with all interested parties for maximum transparency.
