Today, at Government Administration Human Rights Government Action Plan Coordinating Interagency Council first meeting was held, which was chaired by the Prime-Minister Irakli Garibashvili. The members of the Council discussed the goals stipulated by Human Rights government action plan, reports GHN based on press service of the Prime Minister.
The heads of various departments presented reports and future plans on amendments under Human Rights. At the end of the meeting the discussions were held. The parties discussed the ways of problems effective elimination.
As it was noted, no unfulfilled activity is listed in tasks stipulated by Action Plan.
According to the information of Human Rights Secretariat, the special initial report for implementation of Action Plan will become public in the nearest future. Also, the Secretariat is working on special tasks packages, which will be sent through all departments and it will include the detailed description of the activities for timely and qualitative implementation of the Action Plan.
Human Rights Government Action Plan Coordinating Interagency Council first meeting was attended by the members of the Ministers Cabinet and by the representatives of non-governmental and international organizations.
Before the meeting the Prime-Minister presented Sofo Japaridze as the Prime-Minister's assistant in Human Rights and Gender Equality issues.
