The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili met the representatives of the Georgian scientific community, reports GHN based on press service of the Prime Minister.
The scientists discussed the situation in scientific sphere with the Prime Minister. The participants of the meeting acquainted Irakli Garibashvili with the problems of scientific research institutions. Readiness was expressed that the state would work on the science development and support action plan more actively.
"Science - this is a foundation, any successful country should stand on. We have great traditions in this regard and that needs further support and development", - Irakli Garibashvili said. The meeting, which lasted more than two hours, was attended by the Chairman of the Education and Science Committee of the Parliament Vano Kighuradze.
