Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has proposed that the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko faction support Arseniy Yatseniuk as new prime minister on the condition of the detailed coordination of a coalition agreement, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
He said this at a meeting with MPs elected from the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko.
Poroshenko said that he had received a lot of proposals to nominate Volodymyr Hroisman for this post, but for the sake of the country's unity he requests support for Yatseniuk.
He emphasized the need for the detailed coordination of the coalition agreement, determining the specific timing of the implementation of provisions.
He also called the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko the winner of the elections as 132 deputies were joined by 18 self-nominees, so the bloc's faction may consist of 150 people.
