The monument of Stalin was dismantled in Tkibuli as well, in the center of the town. The reason for this was said is a reconstruction of the region.
In the municipality of Tkibuli they said that here the monument was constructed when Stalin was still alive. It was dismantled during the national movement's coming into power (1990-s); however after Shevardnadze's return to power the monument was returned to its place.
