U.S. State Secretary Hillary Clinton will visit Georgia on July 5 and discuss the issues of peace and stability in the region with the Georgian authorities - deputy minister of foreign affairs of Georgia, Davit Jalaghania announced at the briefing today. He said the visit was very significant for Georgia, because Georgian side would also discuss the implementation of the terms of the Georgia-U.S. strategic partnership charter with the Secretary of State.
Jalaghania said the date of the arrival of the State Secretary was determined. Within the tour to the Eastern Europe, Hillary Clinton will arrive in Tbilisi on July 5, 2010.
At the meetings with Georgian senior officials, the U.S. State Secretary will discuss issues of bilateral cooperation in various sectors, problems of security in the region and the agreements, which the two governments plan to sign in the future.
