Georgian National Museum Simon Janashia Museum of Georgia invites you at the opening of the exhibition "Istanbul and Poetical Abstractions" by famous Turkish painter Devrim Erbil. The opening event will take place on November 7th, 2014 at 6 p.m, reports GHN.
Devrim Erbil was born in Usak, Turkey. He graduated from Painting Department of Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts. Conducted art studies and research in Spain, France and United Kingdom. In 2005 he became founder of the Faculty of Art and Design in Doğuş University, simultaneously he was participating in different international exhibitions and projects. He is a winner of numerous local and international awards.
Exposition will showcase 26 works by author that are inspired by landscapes of old city Istanbul and implemented in different techniques. In the framework of the exhibition photos from Georgian National Museum Dimitri Ermakov's photo archive will also be presented on the exposition. Photographs will showcase urban, social and cultural lifestyle of Turkey.
Exhibition is organized by Georgian National Museum, Embassy of the Republic of Turkey and Yunus Emre Enstitüsü, with the support of Ministry of Culture and Monuments Protection of Georgia.
Exhibition will take place in the framework of Turkish Culture Days in Georgia and will last until November 21st, 2014.
