The United States has condemned the shelling of the territory of a school in Donetsk and stressed the need for an independent inquiry into the incident, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
U.S. State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki said this at a briefing on Thursday.
"We condemn the shelling of a school in Donetsk that left at least two children dead and wounded many others," she said.
However, she noted that those responsible for the tragedy should be identified.
"We certainly would support an investigation into this," Psaki said.
