The President Giorgi Margvelashvili explained in the air of TV Company "Maestro" the reasons why he didn't attend the meeting of "Free Democrats", reports GHN.
As Margvelashvili stated he agreed with the former Minister of Defense Irakli Alasania that he will meet him as leader of one of the political parties.
"I don't think that I have to go on party meetings. I haven't been on meetings; I am not leader of political party to express solidarity. I talked to Irakli yesterday and we agreed that we will meet each other as the President and the leader of one of the political parties. But I will say why it is tough for me to go on meetings of the party; it will be strange that I have to go on the meetings on one party but not others. I welcome political spectrum to be healthy, diverse and stable, but it doesn't mean that I have to go on meeting of political party. I want to underline one more time that I don't stand aside of "Free Democrats," in a contrary I wish them success and strengthening of their forces," stated Margvelashvili.
We remind that yesterday of Concert Hall there was held party meeting of "Free Democrats."
