The Minister of Defense Mindia Janelidze hosted ambassador the Great Britain Aleksandra Holl Holl, reports GHN.
With the information of the department of public relations the meeting was also attended by Secretary of International Security Advisory Board Sir Gary Johnson. On the meeting the sides talked about collaboration between the Ministries of Defense of Georgia and Great Britain and about future plans. As the Minister of Defense stated Great Britain is strategic partner of Georgia and bilateral relations between two countries will become more intensive.
"Today there was held meeting with the ambassador of Britain and also with big friend of Georgia Sir Gary Johnson. We talked about future of the Ministry of Defense, those priorities that will have the Ministry in near future to develop armed forces of our countries and to increase its possibilities. Britain is one of the strategic partners of our country and we will make bilateral collaboration more intensive. Accordingly I as a Minister will try to increase the format of collaboration and platform with Great Britain" - stated the head of the Ministry of Defense Mindia Janelidze after the meeting.
"We had very productive and friendly meeting with Mindia Janelidze. We know him very well. We were collaborating with him and used to help in development of council of crisis management. We are sure that the experience from previous job will help him on new position. The Minister of Defense assured us that will continue collaboration with us and that course of Georgia on the way of Euro Atlantic integration will be the same," stated the ambassador of Great Britain of Georgia Aleksandra Holl Holl.
