Defence Minister of Georgia Mindia Janelidze visited Giorgi Abramishvili Military Hospital today. Minister met with the military servicemen wounded in ISAF international mission and August War 2008 - Major Pridon Makharadze, Corporals Ramaz Davitaia and Jimsher Chkhenkeli. Mindia Janelidze talked with the doctors of the wounded military servicemen and got detailed information about their health conditions, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Defense.
After visiting wounded military servicemen, Director of Gori Hospital Revaz Kuchukhidze delivered full information about the capabilities of the military medical institution to Defence Minister. Mindia Janelidze also took a view to the infrastructure of the hospital.
"We pledged the military personnel to render them immediate assistance they need. Many infrastructural works have already been done in the hospital. We will continue to develop capabilities of the medical institution in the future. We will set up concept of military medical service in the nearest future and elaborate the action plan", stated Defence Minister Mindia Janelidze.
Military serviceman of the 23rd Battalion of II Infantry Brigade, Corporal Ramaz Davitaia and Head of Chancellery of III Infantry Brigade, Major Pridon Makharadze wounded while performing ISAF mission in Helmand Province. Corporal Jimsher Chkhenkeli of the 42nd Battalion of IV Mechanized Brigade of the GAF received injuries on August 8, 2008.
