On the 12th of November 2014, the Georgian Foreign Minister, Ms Tamar Beruchashvili held a telephone conversation with her Lithuanian counterpart, Mr Linas Linkevičius.
Mr Linkevičius congratulated Ms Beruchashvili on her appointment as Foreign Minister and wished her success in her future endeavours, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mr Linkevičius has pledged his strong support to the Georgian Foreign Minister and the Government of Georgia for the implementation of the European and Euro-Atlantic integration goals. During the telephone conversation, the Lithuanian Foreign Minister has expressed his desire to coordinate a high-level meeting with the representatives of the European Union member states within the framework of the Association Council in Brussels.
The Georgian Foreign Minister thanked her Lithuanian counterpart for supporting Georgia and expressed her readiness to use this opportunity in order to provide the partners with the detailed information about the current processes in the country. While talking with her Lithuanian counterpart, Ms Beruchashvili has confirmed once again that Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic course remains unchanged and it has no alternative.
