During the ATO in eastern Ukraine, about 40 soldiers of special purpose troops have been already killed, many of whom were not used for their intended purpose, reports GHN based on Ukrinform.
Director of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament Studies Valentyn Badrak told journalists on round table.
"40 soldiers of special purpose troops were killed in this war. And many of them were not used for their intended purpose, but as the infantry," he said.
The expert noted that this question is very problematic, because there is a threat of loss of the elite units, training of soldiers takes many years, if not used correctly and misused.
