After delivering the speech Giorgi Margvelashvili made comment with journalists in the Parliament and expressed his concern about the fact that Parliamentarian minority left the hall while the speech, reports GHN.
"I expressed my concern that Parliamentarian minority left the hall while delivering the speech. Let's face the reality. This clause of the constitution was not working before. It was first time when the article that considers not annual report of the president but speech of the President was used first time in constitutional order of our country. The speaker of the Parliament and bureau offered format that President will apply the Parliament and after this Parliament stops the theme of the debates. This format is absolutely acceptable for me because I respect point of view of the Parliament, as for the political debates it is natural we are here for this, but the place of debates of the President with opposition is not in the Parliament of Georgia right now. Opposition has possibility to come into debates in the format of annual report that is planned by regulations and determined by constitution," stated Margvelashvili. As the President said he is ready to meet every political party concerning western course of the country.
"I meet every political party. For me it is important strength of the parties, if opposition want to talk to me the door of the President is open for them," stated the President.
