Defence Minister of Georgia Mindia Janelidze visited Tserovani Rehabilitation Center. Of General Staff of the GAF, Major-General Vakhtang kapanadze, his deputy Colonel Roman Jokhadze, Head of Medical Department, LTC Medea Betashvili and other top brass of the MoD and GAF were hosted at the Rehabilitation center as well, reports GHN based on the Ministry of Defense.
Currently, 7 military servicemen injured in August War 2008 and ISAF mission are undergoing rehabilitation and relaxation course along with their family members. Defence Minister talked with the military servicemen and gave presents to their children. After meeting with the soldiers, Defence Minister Mindia Janelidze took a view of the infrastructure of the Center and got acquainted to its living conditions.
"This is a very important project. We have to give our soldiers and officers opportunity for fully re-socialization. In case of necessity, they will be provided with additional psychological assistance in order to regain perfectly rehabilitated soldiers, officers, sergeants in the army. Work in this direction will continue and this project will further develop", stated Defence Minister Mindia Janelidze.
Georgian military servicemen wounded in combat operations and international missions and their family members undergo ten day long rehabilitation and relaxation course at Tserovani Rehabilitation Center. Two buildings are well organized for them. The complex is equipped with relaxation conditions. Various infrastructural objects and comfortable mess hall is arranged for rehabilitation course at the Center.
Military and their family members are under the care of medical personnel of Separate Medical Battalion of GAF. Psychologists and psychiatrists deliver them a special rehabilitation course as well. Medical personnel and their family members receive 24 hours medical service at the Center. In case of necessity the relevant profile doctor will be called on the ground.
Rehabilitation Center was President's former Tserovani Residence which currently is under the patronage of Defence Ministry of Georgia. The Center started working on January 9 and now hosts the eighth part of wounded military and their families. Prior to 54 military underwent rehabilitation and relaxation course in the center.
The rehabilitation and relaxation course will be held permanently for all wounded military servicemen of the Georgian Armed Forces and their family members. In 2015 sport complex will be built for the wounded military servicemen and their family members at Tserovani Rehabilitation Center.
